Let's Get Started.

Working through the systemic lens of a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Anchor of Hope Counseling offers counseling to individual adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families.

Counseling for Adolescents & Teens

At Anchor of Hope, we know that the adolescent years can feel challenging for both the adolescent and the adults in their life. We work hard to support the adolescent, connect on their level, and help them to feel comfortable sharing when they often don't feel comfortable in other settings. We are equipped to support teens and their families through anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, social difficulties, ADHD, and more.

Counseling for Individual Adults

Do you feel stuck in your life? Is anxiety or depression interfering with the things you want to do? Are your relationships suffering due to these struggles? Anchor of Hope Counseling brings a compassionate and practical approach to working with individuals. Believing that you are the expert in your own life, the sessions will lead you to feel empowered and equipped to make real and lasting changes. You may explore your thought patterns, past experiences, relationships and behaviors, all in a safe and comfortable environment.

Counseling for Couples

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in patterns that lead to more tensions, distance and miscommunication? At Anchor of Hope Counseling, we use evidence based treatment modalities like The Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help you reconnect with your partner, learn new ways of communicating, and equip you with the tools you need when problems arise.

Counseling for Parents

Do your kids' behaviors or words leave you at a loss? Are you struggling to know if you're being too hard or too easy on your kids? Do your own past experiences as a child affect how you are parenting today? Anchor of Hope Counseling brings a down to earth and practical approach to supporting parents. Often this work will accompany work with the child, as well, but starting with supporting parents can make a big difference in finding peace in your family.

Counseling for Kids

Anchor of Hope Counseling offers therapy for kids beginning at age 8-10 years old. The session will involve talk, play, creativity, and typically a parent/guardian for at least part of the session. Anchor of Hope is equipped to work with kids struggling with anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, life transitions, and more. If the concerns are about a child younger than 8, Anchor of Hope Counseling can help support the adults in the child's life through those difficulties.

Counseling for Families

At Anchor of Hope Counseling, we know that problems rarely exist in a vacuum. Humans are created to be in community, and our first community is our family, for better or for worse. Family Counseling can feel scary, but it can be a place of rich growth and real healing. We are equipped to work with parent/child relationships, siblings, multi-generations, blended families, and more.

Telehealth Counseling

Anchor of Hope Counseling offers telehealth sessions at the same rate as in-person sessions. If your schedule, transportation, health or other situation does not allow you to come to the office, we can set up confidential and secure telehealth sessions with a therapist. Anchor of Hope does not recommend telehealth counseling sessions for children under the age of 12.

Reduced Rate Sessions

Anchor of Hope Counseling is now offering reduced rate sessions with a graduate level intern. Interns have completed coursework to prepare them for their role and are supervised through their graduate program. This is a great way to access therapy if cost is prohibitive.
